What do you all think about the gmail new look with its themes?

i like the concept. something new :-) thanks, google! looking forward to more new stuff!

It looks great, but i think, that google loses some identity with this...

Tea House theme is great (on both Gmail and iGoogle). Are themes eventually going to be applied to other Google products other than those two? I'd like to be able to have a universal look/theme for all the Google products (Reader being another one). Thanks.

Google is KAK. They have launched Google Groups, and people are using it as a springbaord to 'spam advertise'. They constantly devise 'empty' hotmail accounts to avoid the 'blocked senders list' and then try and sell you dodgy prescription drugs via a Google Groups account. They also mess with the lettering so that you cannot filter and ban emails from them containing words such as 'Viagra, Vallium etc.
GOOGLE IS ARSE !!!!! THEY HAVE SOLD OUT !!!!

The colour of the Bus Stop theme looks great to me, but the theme is not efficient, as it compromises space for reading and composing emails in order to accommodate the graphic in the background.

Another general issue with the themes is that I cannot distinguish read and unread mails in my inbox. Hope the designers can work somewhat more on the contrasting colours highlighting new mails.

Other themes are cool and I'm using Graffiti. Definitely looking forward to more great themes!

I partly agree. Themes seem not really click with Google's tradition of simplistic yet practical design. But I think Gmail's identity is more largely on its unique way of deal with emails – in conversations – and its "prompt" loading speed.

Hotmail also did a new layout lately, but no matter how visually attractive it can possibly get, the experience is just different.

Yea I spotted this as well, from the all-time repeating mails on prescription drugs or watches in my Gmail's Spam. (Currently there are more than 200 of such spams)

If I think I have a great new application for the google phone possibly but do not have the technology to create it but for you this technology already exists who should I talk to?
