GAINESVILLE, GA, SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 — Crown Financial Ministries® announced today the launch of its newest resource to share biblical financial principles, the God Provides™ Film Learning Experience.

God Provides™ is a series of six dramatic, theatre-quality short films designed for those seeking God’s will for their lives and needing guidance to make money – and life – decisions. Timeless illustrations leap off the pages of Scripture and into modern lives to demonstrate how to faithfully live with trust in God, the ultimate Provider. The film learning experience encourages maximum life stewardship in thought, purpose and action by engaging the heart, head and hands in learning that will last a lifetime.

Following each film, viewers are guided through thought-provoking teaching, meaningful discussion and reflection, and unique hands-on experiences to put learning in action. They are then challenged to take the film learning experience to others in their spheres of influence, whether in a church small group or a family or neighborhood Bible study or a screening at a community venue.

“We are adopting the storytelling method of teaching and viral distribution opportunities to reach a broader audience with the truth of God’s Word,” noted Crown CEO Chuck Bentley, who created the films and served as executive producer for the series. “The message of God’s provision transcends all governmental, cultural and socio-economic strata and offers life-changing hope.”

According to Barna Research, one out of every seven Americans is functionally illiterate while one out of four has not read a book in the past two years. This reality is compounded by the growing illiteracy rate worldwide. Crown’s goal is to reach 70% of the world’s population with the transformational message by translating the films into 25 more languages.

The God Provides™ films received their first recognition at their world premiere at the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival in January. Golden Globe nominee Dean Jones, who plays the role of “Abraham” in three of the six films, also received a Lifetime Achievement Jubilee Award at that time. He remarked upon receiving the special award, “I wouldn’t trade this for an Oscar.”
