Telerik: Telerik OpenAccess ORM introduces the industry-first full support for SQL Azure and extends functionality
One of the major enhancements coming to OpenAccess with the Q3 2009 release is the addition of the industry first full support for Microsoft’s cloud-based database SQL Azure. Thanks to it you will be able to perform model-first and/or schema first mapping to a database hosted on the cloud with the same ease you do today with local databases like SQL Server.
With this release we are launching a new OpenAccess ORM demo site designed to help developers jump start their projects and increase their productivity. The site will feature examples of the product’s features as well as short step-by-step video tutorials showing how to use and integrate them in you applications. You will also be able to take advantage of contextual, to each example, resource links or download the example’s source code.
For Q3 2009 OpenAccess ORM will introduce full support for Join operations with LINQ as well support for the SQL CE database. After Q3 the stored procedures support will also be extended to cover Firebird, Sybase SQL Anywhere, Advantage Database Server and the new SQL Azure. Along with the new functionalities OpenAccess will deliver lower memory consumption and increased performance. The product will also work with the newest version of Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2.
