Has Christianaudio considered giving people the option of lower bitrate (and therefore smaller sized) files like some other audiobook sites do? Spoken word can still be listenable at quite low bitrates. There would be several advantages to giving people this choice-
- In some countries (like australia) internet service ...providers often cap internet access at a few gig (or less) a month. Since some longer audio books can go to half a gig or more, file size becomes an important consideration in whether or not to purchace. A smaller file size would ease this problem. It would also make downloading easier for people on painfully slow connections
- Smaller file sizes= less taxing on the christianaudio servers.when the content is downloaded
- Smaller file sizes= More content fits on mp3 player.
Clyde Any recommendations for audiobook listening software? I'm looking for something better for either Windows or Windows Mobile. I currently use Mortplayer (freeware) for Windows Mobile. Although it works very well, it's a little quirky and will occasionally crash. The features of Mort that I really like: 1) I can have ...multiple books loaded and 2) multiple bookmarks for each book.
