Eric I'm going to have to disable your application if you don't stop putting my twitter status in my facebook status

Kimo Trent Why? I liked your app. Why are you begging me to disable it by forcing this unwanted change on me? Why have you given me no warning about this BIG change, and no control over what I post or not? Why did you ever think this was a good idea? Why does there appear to be NO response to the growing number of people voicing ...their opinions about this? Day after day I check this "fan" page hoping to see an Official Response of some sort, addressing this issue. Ideally, I hope to find an apology, and either news that this 'feature' has been killed, or at the VERY LEAST given an option to be turned off/only posted to your wall. Of course every day I find no response, just a growing list of angered users. Good PR FF, good PR....

RosaLei Castaneda the twitter update segwaying to Facebook status update has been going on for over two weeks now and I have purposefully not posted anything on twitter hoping this would resolve sooner... you'd think the minions would have got the memo by now! Disabling option in three, two, one...

Julia I'm disabling the app until I can have it update my wall and not my status like before. This was the only value I was getting from friendfeed, there are other ways to have Twitter update my status without a go-between.

Craig Kyle Grobler Calder After trying various things FF still updates FB with my Twitter status so I have to delete it. Please let me know when it's working again. Thanks

James Hsiao
Your response to Scott in the original announcement thread is disingenuous. Even if we accept your insistence that the update API might be being deprecated, you still maintain the ability to post Google Reader updates/Flickr favorites to the wall. It should be trivial to have twitter, identi.ca, and Google Talk status ...updates use that same wall-posting API.
Enough people have complained about this without any official response from FriendFeed, apart from "turn us off." Are we to assume that the Facebook acquiring FriendFeed means you don't care about what your userbase thinks anymore?

John Delconte Yes, don't need my tweets showing up in my Facebook status. What is going on with this? Guess I need to remove Tweets from FriendFeed.

Phil Cannabisni I removed twitter from my friendfeed page but it is still updating with the latest post from twitter. Any idea why ?

Simon Jermy Friendfeed has just become a lot less useful for me now. I've had to remove my twitter account to save winding up my friends with incessant status changes. Please change it back so Twitter updates are posted to my wall and not my status.

Greg Verdino clearly i'm not the first person to think this is a problem: let's cut it out with posting every friggin' ff update to the fb status field, please. posting to the wall was perfect. ok? thanks.

Jacob Steenhagen I'm not at the point of removing FriendFeed yet, but like others I dislike the fact that it's setting my status to be what I posted to Twitter rather than just doing it as a feed item in the stream. If I wanted that, I'd just use the Twitter FB App. The fact that twitter posts were published as items rather than status... updates is the only reason I even added Twitter to my Friend Feed. Between this and the fact that amazon.com wish lists don't update anymore, I have almost no use left for FF.

Ebony Brown I heart friend feed but I don't want my friend feed posts to override my facebook status | make it stop... | FF & FB peace please | ME: http://bit.ly/65vgwv

I don't think
I'll remove the app yet, but definately unlinking my twitter.
If you want to update every status I have when I enter something in friendfeed, fine. But when I enter something onto a different site? No.
I at least need that option available to me. Bring back to posting on wall only.

Andrew Mark Heritage And me! Really annoying it now becomes your status rather than just an item in your feed as before. Should be an option, perhaps by sending a tag or something? Hope the app guys are reading and taking note :-)
