The news that US star Ken Block will take part in the 2010 World Rally Championship has been hailed by the sport's promoters as confirmation that the world’s greatest drivers will be competing in the series.

American rally star Ken Block will compete in the World Rally Championship in 2010 and 2011 as part of the newly formed 'Monster World Rally Team', backed by the American energy drink company and Ford.

The promoter of the World Rally Championship, International Sportsworld Communicators (ISC), has been re-branded as North One Sport.The change, which comes into effect immediately, marks a new identity for the company which was founded by F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone in 1982.
